Darcylicious LJ Community

  • Nov. 29th, 2009 at 6:42 PM
Cant believe we took so long to get this community off the ground, given that we have the rest of the social media sites covered ;). A companion to the Darcylicious websites, which are dedicated to our favourite British actors, Matthew Macfadyen, Tom Riley, Keeley Hawes, JJ Feild, Joseph Millson and Tom Mison. New addition David Oakes has his own site, but deserves the adoration too...I think most of them count as obscure?

Do join the community and post anything you find about our actors - news, photos, graphics...

Apologies if community pimpage not allowed...

Darcylicious LJ Community this way...

What are the three best books you have ever read and what are the three worst? What made them so good or bad?

The three best without a doubt are 'The Lord Of The Rings' trilogy. Best books and best films and that's the end of it.

The worst books i've ever read? 'Wicked Lovely' I don't remember who it's by but it looked really interesting. I barely got to the sixth chapter. The other two would have to be 'Skellig' which I had to read for English class and 'Memoirs of a Geshia' which I read cause I liked the film but I just could not get into the book.
Was directed to an article that can be found here!

A taste, you say?

Fielding hangs out watching the Muppets with Barratt’s twin sons. The two-year-olds are warming to Fielding now, after a bad start when every time the children saw him on television he was “a weird monster”.

“Kids are immediately frightened of me, then get obsessed,” Fielding says.

Afternoon everyone! Thanks to all three of you who left comments last week, hope you enjoy this week's too! It is another reflective-y one - it's the way the words have fallen not anything to do with me turning away from fluffyness but if you're nice to me then next week I promise you much banter! hehe :P

I thought other Samuel West fans might like to know,

a) He has a Twitter.

b) You can watch a trailer for ENRON here and here. Disorienting American accent warning!

c) He's in the new Murder on the Orient Express. I actually have read the book and seen the Albert Finney movie several times, and yet like most Agatha Christie I never remember anything about it (except for the production values).

Anyone seen ENRON? There seems to be a Vanity Fair photoshoot coming up (although I don't know - is there a UK VF or just the one?).

Yup a little more Jedward! (i apologize)

green wing on hulu.com

  • Nov. 23rd, 2009 at 7:53 PM
If you're in the United States and don't have a way to play Region 2 DVDs, or haven't yet acquired the episodes by *cough* other means, wander on over to Hulu. They've got all of series 1 and 2, as well as the special. They're tagged as "mature", so you need to set up an account before you can watch them.

ETA: And the US iTunes store has the Green Wing soundtrack.
